Glossybox May 2025 Review – Sun-Kissed Skincare, SPF & a Double Haircare Duo!

Glossybox May 2025 Review – Sun-Kissed Skincare, SPF & a Double Haircare Duo!

The Glossybox May 2025 edition is here — and it's come through the door a little earlier than usual this month. Tucked inside the classic pink box are five products covering skincare, body care, makeup, and haircare — all themed around “Sunny Beginnings.” With longer days and brighter weather on the horizon, it’s the kind of edit that leans into that early summer glow.

If you’re new to Glossybox, it’s a monthly beauty subscription that brings at least five beauty products to your door with a guaranteed value of £50 or more. Plans start at £13.50 on a one-month rolling basis, or just £12.50/month if you commit to a 12-month plan. You can also pay upfront to save even more money. Some months are better than others, but it’s a fun and affordable way to try a variety of brands.

Let’s dive into the May edit and see what’s inside.

e.l.f. Skin Suntouchable Woah Glow SPF 30 – Full Size (£14)

First up is the standout product from this month’s box — the e.l.f. Suntouchable Woah Glow SPF 30. If you were already subscribed last month, you had the chance to choose your preferred shade. This one arrived in the shade Sunlight — a sheer champagne shimmer that’s ideal for a glowy base (I didn't get to choose as I received this box in PR but luckily it's the shade I would have chosen anyway!)

This 50ml sunscreen doubles as a makeup primer and leaves a radiant, luminous finish on the skin. It’s lightweight, broad-spectrum, and non-greasy — basically everything you’d want from a daily SPF. Whether you’re wearing it alone or under foundation, it adds a healthy sheen without the stickiness. Just remember to check the expiry date (this one is good until Sept 2025) to make sure it’s effective when you use it.

Wild Science Lab Sunlit Shine Shampoo & Conditioner – Deluxe Minis (2 x 40ml, £6 each)

Glossybox doesn’t always include a shampoo and conditioner, so it’s a nice bonus that this month delivers both from Wild Science Lab. The shampoo is formulated with rose water and sea salt for a refreshing cleanse, while the conditioner uses shea butter and coconut oil to hydrate without weighing the hair down.

They both smell great — there’s a definite citrusy, clean vibe coming through — and they’re sized perfectly for a weekend away or gym bag. That said, if you're fussy about haircare, these might not make it into your regular rotation. But they’re nice to have as a backup or to gift to someone who’ll love the scent. Bonus: if you fall in love with them, there’s a 30% discount code (GLOSSY) valid on wildsciencelab.com until the end of July.

Anatomicals Make Your Skin Grin Mango & Papaya Body Lotion – Deluxe Size (100ml, £5)

This one was a pleasant surprise! The Mango & Papaya Body Lotion from Anatomicals smells exactly like summer in a bottle — fresh, fruity, and tropical without being overpowering. It’s got cocoa butter mixed in, so the texture is soft and smooth, and it sinks into the skin quickly.

Whether you’re just out of the shower or wanting something lighter than a thick body butter, this lotion hits the spot. It’s a cheerful, sunny addition to the box and one I’ll definitely be finishing before the end of the season.

Delilah Eyeline Longwear Retractable Pencil – Full Size (£23)

Next up is a full-size eyeliner from Delilah — and it’s a winner. The shade is Twig, a rich chocolate brown that’s perfect for soft summer looks. It’s waterproof, creamy, and glides on effortlessly, plus it includes a built-in sharpener on the opposite end for precision.

Brown liner is always a great alternative to black, especially during the warmer months when you might want something a little softer or more natural. This one wears well without smudging and is easy to work with, even if you’re not a pro at winged liner.

Overall, the May 2025 Glossybox is a nicely balanced mix. There’s skincare (SPF), body care, a bit of makeup, and a practical haircare duo. The e.l.f. SPF stands out as the hero product, and while the shampoo and conditioner might not suit everyone, they round out the box well. The Delilah eyeliner is high quality and wearable, and the body lotion is the perfect sunny day staple.

It’s definitely a box that leans into summer — light, glowy, and easy to use.
