Based in LA, the show follows the team at The Oppenheim Group as they try to sell million dollar mansions with insane views to potential buyers. If you’re all up to date on Season 1 and have so many questions then this post is for you.
As the first ever docu-soap to hit Netflix, so far it’s been a HUGE hit. Season 1 only dropped on 15th March 2019 in the UK but already so many fans are asking for a season 2… me included. I mean, I have already watched season 1 three times over… it’s THAT good.
We all know it’s up to Netflix to decide the fate of the show, so I suppose they need to see just how popular it is over a certain time period. I have everything crossed.
Mary hinted that it’s looking promising for a season 2 and encouraged everyone to keep watching the series. I don’t need to be told twice to put this luxury lifestyle on my screen again.
Season 1 left us with so many cliffhangers… I mean if there isn’t going to be a season 2, I’ll need the girls to give me some answers…
Most of the cast have said they’d be up for filming a season 2 although it might be a while before we get a date for it.
In the meantime, Instagram has of course given us a few spoilers for season 2 IF it is given the go ahead. So this is what we know so far:
MARY AND ROMAIN
This gorgeous couple are still together even though there were a few concerns from other girls at The Oppenheim Group in season 1. And Mary has finally got her diamond ring! How happy does she look in the photo she shared with us on Instagram showing off her ring!
MAYA HAD HER BABY
Maya had her baby – a gorgeous healthy baby boy called Aiden.
THE $40MILLION PROPERTY
This is finished and is up for sale. There’s a full tour of the property on Youtube if you fancy a look round it. And oh my goodness it’s everything you’d expected and more. The property is 20,000 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms. That pool area we saw Heather walking though fully clothed is now a 175 foot infinity pool with a 360 degree view of LA. It’s unreal.
QUESTIONS WE STILL NEED ANSWERS TO…
ARE CHRISTINE AND CHRISHELL FRIENDS?
Do they make up? The end of season 1 was pretty dramatic when it all kicked off a Jason’s pool party. Christine’s words about Chrishell included ‘two faced bitch’ and ‘a bitch who must own a Sunglasses Hut because she’s so fucking shady’. I mean – 10/10 for the pun but girl…
Whilst Christine did apologise to Chrishell… was all actually forgiven or is there more to sort out between them? We need to know!
WHO GETS THE £1.2MILLION COMMISSION?
We know the commission on the properties is always insane – but the commission on the £40million property is the biggest we have ever seen. £1.2million to the girl who sells the property. I mean if that’s not incentive to sell the property, I don’t know what is!
WILL WE MEET CHRISHELL’S HUSBAND?
We got a sneak peek of Heather’s hockey player boyfriend when she FaceTimed him whilst he was in Sweden, and of course we know Romain pretty well… but the other girls keep it all a little quieter.
Chrishell’s husband is none other than actor Justin Hartley and she did mention in one of the earlier episodes that he was filming at the time Selling Sunset was being filmed so he wasn’t able to be featured for that reason. But are we going to see him in season 2? What about Maya’s other half? And anything on the scene with Christine…?
WILL WE SEE MARY & ROMAIN’S WEDDING?
We have followed the love story of Mary and Romain from the start but will the wedding be filmed? I’m pretty sure it’s going to be a wedding we won’t want to miss so fingers crossed we get to see it!
WILL WE SEE ANY OTHER CELEBS LOOKING FOR A HOME?
It’s the Hollywood hills after all… and Mary’s Instagram recently showed that Leonardo Di Caprio’s house is up for sale. An appearance from him would be incredible!
WILL THERE BE ANY NEW GIRLS JOINING THE SUNSET FAM?
Drama levels already get pretty high but why not add another girl to the mix too? Interior Design specialist and new agent Amanza Smith shared the news on her instagram that she would be the newest cast member. I wonder if there will be anyone else. And if new agents are joining, will some be leaving?
Hopefully we won’t have to wait long before we hear whether a Season 2 is in the works. In the meantime we can follow the girls on Instagram to keep up with their luxury lifestyle and dream about moving to LA!
