StyleKorean Newbie Vibes Kit Unboxing

StyleKorean Newbie Vibes Kit Unboxing

If you're just starting out with Korean skincare or looking for an easy way to try out some cult favourites, the StyleKorean Newbie Vibes Kit is such a fun and affordable pick. It launched back in April and caught my eye straight away — not just because of the products, but because it came in an actual mini suitcase. Yes, really.

This edit was priced at just $15 (around £12), and although international shipping can add a bit, I ended up paying $22 total after using some points and discount codes — which still feels like great value. Inside the kit are over a dozen skincare minis with a combined value of $67, all geared towards beginners who want to dip their toes into K-beauty.

Let's get into what’s inside and whether it’s worth grabbing if it pops back up!

Heimish All Clean Balm – 5ml

Starting off with one of the tiniest products in the kit – but also one of the most loved in K-beauty circles. The Heimish All Clean Balm is a cult favourite cleansing balm that transforms from balm to oil to milk, removing makeup and daily grime with ease. It’s vegan, cruelty-free, and super gentle on the skin.

The size is teeny – it looks like a little coffee pod – and is probably just enough for one use. But it gives you a chance to try the formula and see if it suits your skin before committing to the full size. Great as a first cleanse and ideal for travel.

VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot Serum Duo (x2 mini sachets)

These two little tubes look like something from a science lab! The VT Cosmetics 100 Reedle Shot serums are made with cica extract, hyaluronic acid, and propolis to calm, hydrate, and nourish the skin. They’re designed to penetrate deep into the skin’s layers for a plumping, soothing effect.

You apply these at night after cleansing, press them in like a serum, and they work best followed up with a moisturiser. Super cute to have two minis to try — and they were also part of the bonus freebie included in the kit.

Mary & May Tranexamic Acid + Glutathione Eye Cream – 12g

This eye cream from Mary & May is such a pleasant surprise — at 12g, it’s pretty much full size. It targets dark circles and uneven skin tone with brightening ingredients like tranexamic acid, glutathione, and vitamin C. The formula is lightweight and absorbs easily, perfect for morning or evening use.

It’s currently under £3.50 on YesStyle which is just incredible value. Definitely one of those hidden gems in the kit.

Tocobo SPF Duo – Vit Tone Up + Bio Watery Sun Cream – 10ml each

A very welcome addition to the kit: not one, but two mini SPFs from Tocobo. The Vit Tone Up Sun Cream offers a brightening, correcting finish with SPF 50, while the Bio Watery Sun Cream is more hydrating and lightweight. Both are vegan, cruelty-free, and have different textures — great for figuring out which suits your skin best.

This little SPF duo also sells as a set on Beauty Bay, so if you fall in love with one, it’s easy to repurchase.

Medicube Triple Collagen Cream – 5ml

A nourishing moisturiser packed with collagen, niacinamide, and oils to help with elasticity and hydration. The Medicube Triple Collagen Cream is a tiny 5ml sample, but there's enough for several uses. It feels rich without being greasy and would work well as a night cream, especially if you're dealing with dry or tired skin.

Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner – 30ml

This cute little bottle of Essence Toner from Pyunkang Yul is one of the more well-known K-beauty staples. It’s soothing, hydrating, and works beautifully post-cleanse to prep your skin for the next steps. With ingredients like milk vetch root extract, it’s especially good for calming sensitive skin. A fab toner to have in a travel bag or skincare drawer.

Purito Centella Unscented Recovery Cream – 15ml

Another moisturiser in the lineup — this time the Purito Centella Unscented Recovery Cream, which is all about calming and repairing irritated skin. Centella asiatica is the star here, known for reducing redness and soothing breakouts. It’s unscented, gentle, and perfect for sensitive or acne-prone skin.

Anua Heartleaf 77% Soothing Toner – 40ml

Another toner but with a different twist. The Anua Heartleaf Toner is best for blemish-prone or sensitive skin, thanks to its high percentage of calming heartleaf extract. It hydrates without being heavy, balances your pH, and layers well under other skincare. A really thoughtful inclusion in a beginner-friendly kit.

SkinFood Strawberry Sugar Food Mask – 15ml

This was one of the most exciting products to smell and open — the Strawberry Sugar Food Mask from SkinFood smells like strawberry sweets. It’s a physical exfoliating mask with BHA and black sugar to gently buff away dead skin. Leave it on for 5 minutes, then rinse for super soft, glowing skin. Such a fun little pamper product.

Benton Cica Gel Sunscreen Serum – 12ml

This SPF serum from Benton is lightweight and calming, with SPF 50 and a gel-like texture. It contains cica and hydrating ingredients to soothe while protecting, and it doesn’t leave any greasiness or white cast. Ideal for layering under makeup or using on hot summer days.

Abib Jericho Rose Cream – 30ml

A rich, replenishing cream that feels more like an overnight moisturiser. The Abib Jericho Rose Cream is packed with deeply hydrating ingredients, including mushroom and agave extracts. It’s non-sticky, nourishing, and helps repair the skin barrier. One of the larger products in the kit and a nice discovery.

Arencia Fresh Green Cleanser – 15g

This one looks like a green smoothie for your skin. The Arencia Fresh Green Cleanser is formulated with rice water, witch hazel, and a blend of botanical extracts to purify the skin without stripping it. It’s gentle, great for oily or combo skin, and works well as a second cleanse.

COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch – 24 patches

Always handy to have in your skincare stash — the COSRX Pimple Patches are designed to absorb oil and impurities from spots while acting as a barrier to stop bacteria and irritation. You get 24 in a variety of sizes and they’re discreet enough to wear during the day or overnight.

Extras: Cute K-Beauty Stickers

A little fun extra in the kit was a sheet of cute K-beauty themed stickers. Totally unnecessary, but still adorable — and perfect if you want to decorate your skincare drawers or use them in a journal.

VT Cosmetics Real Shot Mask (Freebie)

As a little bonus, the kit also included the Reedle Shot Mask, which works hand-in-hand with the Reedle Shot serum. You apply the serum first, then pop the mask over it for 10–20 minutes. It’s a sheet mask style and gives your skin a proper hydration boost — a nice pampering moment that makes this kit feel even more special.

For under £20 all-in (shipping and all), this kit was such a fun way to dip into Korean skincare. Yes, some of the products are teeny, but it’s a great way to sample different formulas before investing in full sizes. It’s also perfect for travel — there’s a full routine in here packed into a novelty suitcase!

I think it’s especially ideal for anyone new to K-beauty or just curious about trying products from well-known Korean brands. Unfortunately, this kit has sold out now — but keep an eye on StyleKorean for future editions. They tend to do similar time-limited deals, and they’re always really good value for money.
